Support our Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund

We seek your Support for our Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund

Dear Friends of Jamaica,

On behalf of the Board and the entire Jamaica Link Ministries (JLM) team, we greet you in the strong name of Jesus our Savior. We pray that you and your family are safe and well.

As the COVID-19 virus grinds the economies of prosperous nations to a halt, the effects in Jamaica have been devastating. In March, major resorts laid off thousands of workers as guests either canceled their vacations or left the island early. These workers now have no source of income with very few options. Many of our affiliated churches and ministries are inquiring at JLM and Uprising City Church for financial and food relief. Meanwhile, at Fairhaven Ministry Empowerment Centre, we are experiencing similar hardship. The majority of our ministry funds come from the operation of our Mission house, and February through July is our peak ministry season. To date, 85% of our groups have canceled or postponed their trips with no end in sight. The need is great, but our God is greater!

Will you help us during these difficult times?

Your one-time tax-deductible gift or monthly gift to Jamaica Link during this time will help advance God’s kingdom work in two ways:

First, your generous gift to JLM will allow us to continue to support our faithful hard-working staff through these hard times and maintain the necessary upkeep and maintenance at Fairhaven until we can re-open and begin hosting teams again. By God’s grace, we are committed to staying current with all our financial obligations, including staff salaries, utilities, and rent. We need USD 10,000 per month to meet these basic needs.

Second, your generous gift will replenish our depleted Emergency Outreach Fund. There are so many opportunities for the Good News to impact Jamaica, right now, as we reach out with aid in Jesus’ name. Will you help us provide basic needs like food, shelter, medical care, and the gospel for those who are reaching out to us right now? The needs are significant, but our God is greater!

In these difficult days, the Apostle John’s words are challenging:

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So, we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” (1 John 3:16-18).

Thank you for partnering with us for the glory of God. We look forward to sharing an update with you soon of how God has been faithful to us through the gifts of his people.

Donations by check can be mailed to Jamaica Link Ministries, P.O. Box 224, Nokesville, VA 20182-0224. If you have any questions about current needs at Jamaica Link or in Jamaica, please email: administrator@jamaicalink.org

Thank you again!

Sincerely,

Rev. H. Dave Falconer, President JLM
